Main Responsibilities
  • Consolidating the ILO database on youth employment into a mapping document to highlight areas of operations, gaps and overlaps
  • Carrying out preparatory work to contribute to new policy initiatives particularly in the area of youth employment and development, this entailed involvement in the drafting chapters of the Sixth National Development Plan for Zambia (SNDP):
    • Employment and Labour Chapter
    • Child and Youth Chapter
    • Arts, Culture and Creative Industries Chapter
  • Preparing for Zambia's formal application to join the United Nation's global Youth Employment Network
  • Assisting ILO associated projects in further developing practical programmes on entrepreneurship development for youth, including facilitating in entrepreneurship training workshops
  • Assisting ILO projects in developing and adapting existing materials to make them of specific relevance to young women and men
  • Coordinating administrative, financial and logistical tasks, e.g. workshops and conference preparation
